SALTARIUS
The elegance of a Metodo Classico Trento Doc
Saltarius is born from a perfect balance of Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%), carefully cultivated on the hills of Rovereto. The grapes, trained using the traditional Trentino pergola and harvested at low yields, rest for over 60 months on the lees, developing complexity, finesse, and great elegance. The name Saltarius originates from Saltaria, a small hamlet in the municipality of Rovereto where production takes place, and in Latin it means “saltaro” — the guardian of the fields. The label, inspired by the cadastral map of the family’s vineyard plot, represents a revisited parcel that symbolizes the deep knowledge of every single cluster. The geographical coordinates printed on the label lead to the small house at the centre of the vineyard, the place where grandfather Franco once shared his stories and anecdotes.

A family passion passed down through generations
Saltarius is much more than a wine: it is the story of a family that for four generations has preserved the art of viticulture. From great-grandfather Achille to grandson Andrea, a young oenologist, each generation has carried forward with dedication a dream made of tradition and innovation. The first harvest in 2019, carried out together with grandfather Franco, marked the beginning of a mission: to preserve a rare artisanal heritage and to enhance a unique land — the land of Saltaria, where every row tells a story and every cluster holds the memory of those who tended it.
